Problem: Cleveland Clinic, Main Campus required an upgrade of their server due to poor integrity of data on an aging set of servers. 50 petabytes of medical data for a single department needed to be available on the newer, more stable server.
Solution: I developed a Kernel-Mode driver to support a Hierarchical storage management system for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH, USA. The driver supported the HSM system by providing an automated way of managing and distributing data between the different storage layers, in order to meet the users' needs for accessing data while minimizing the overall cost of the migration. Other utilities were developed as well to support this system.
Ultimately, the projected roll-out and migration period of 2 years for a traditional migration was reduced to 4 months (including development time), with the implementation of this solution. For other cases, this HSM system can be applied to reduce migrations of any size to a 1-2 week period.

Project to decentralize the web. Idea published in December 2017 to Kickstarter.
Quote from project overview: "The need arises now for the internet community to remove control of the internet from those who wish to repeal that which effectively protects the internet rights of all users. We as a freedom-loving tech people will perform the above in the manner in which we have always kept the internet free and equal - technological innovation. The plan I am proposing will leverage already existing technology, however used in new ways, as well as create completely new technology to either enhance what already exists or build components that have not been needed thus far for the continuation of a free internet. The same technology that helps create anonymity for Tor networks, enable wireless printing at home, create cheap and low power computing devices, and decentralize currency through cryptographic means will be used to allow anyone with a device with WiFi to join and support the new, decentralized, Mesh Web."

Issue: iframe added in game caused display issues for the game. Issue specifically happened when certain controls were pressed.
Solution: A solution was implemented to add an event listener to the element and have the app react accordingly. As the solution involved elements within an iframe, the solution required Cross Document Messaging to communicate event firing data to the parent page. The parent page, upon receiving notice from the iframe, would then alter its display. The solution described was correctly limited to working only for users accessing the game through the instagram browser. Styling updates based on client needs were performed as well. To aid in confirmation of changes with client test solutions were rapidly deployed to Windows Azure and reviewed with the client.
